You’ve come a long way baby
Way back in 1968 Phillip Morris created quite the stir when it launched its You’ve come a long way baby ad campaign for their Virginia Slims brand. Yes way back then cigarette ads were everywhere, and the women’s movement was in full swing. Frankly we never quite figured out how a woman smoking cigarettes was a sign of gender equality but hey remember this was 1968 and I was mere child at the time.
Well it might not be creating any controversy but Dexcom’s decision to air ads during yesterday’s Superbowl broadcast is creating a buzz . . .
