Not sure how many people remember when the 670G received FDA approval, but several organizations hailed the event calling it a new day in diabetes management. As the very first AID system approved by b the FDA everyone thought Medtronic had a runaway hit on their hands. That was everyone but us as we knew the 670G was NOT the best thing since sliced bread and soft soap. The major problem wasn’t the pump, but the CGM sensor which flat out sucked. Yet Medtronic being Medtronic had tooled up and had no choice but to launch.
