Will Medtronic be next?
This morning Sanofi reported earnings, Roche and JNJ reported last week. Now way back in the day these events were a big deal. Sanofi powered by sales of Lantus became a leader in insulin sales. Roche and JNJ ruled the BGM universe. It’s not an understatement to say that money was falling from the sky for these three companies.
Today JNJ is completely out of diabetes selling LifeScan to private equity and paying Medtronic to take Animas off their hands. Sanofi still sells Lantus but is no longer a player in diabetes. Roche still sells old fashioned finger stick . . .
