Having covered this wacky world for so long we have given up trying to figure out why companies do the things they do. We realized long ago that common sense or logic don’t dictate how decisions are made. We falsely assumed that companies would learn from past mistakes and perform some serious due diligence before proceeding down a new strategy.

A strong case in point is the insulin pump market as it’s astonishing how many have tried and failed. Yet this very public and well documented record of failure seems to have gotten lost in some corporate board . . .
