There’s a great quote from Vernon Law which says, “Experience is a hard teacher as she gives the test first and the lesson afterward.” We were reminded of this looking at two companies who are becoming very adept at destroying shareholder value. The first is implantable sensor maker Senseonics and the second is Embecta.

At this moment Senseonics market cap has fallen below $250 million and there is no hope for recovery. Embecta market cap has fallen below $600 million but there is hope. Senseonics competes against Dexcom and Abbott, has a fine sensor but lousy business model.
