There are NO winners here
In the continuing legal spat between Dexcom and Abbott put one in the Abbott column with a European court ruling in their favor. Now this may seem important, but it really isn’t, and the story would have been the same had Dexcom prevailed. This legal fight will have NO winners expect for the attorneys and expert witnesses. Abbott is not going to put Dexcom out of business and vice versa. No matter what happens in court it will not alter the CGM landscape. Until there is a credible third option CGM is and shall remain a Dexcom Abbott duopoly . . .
