The Next Frontier
One of the most impressive presentations I have ever seen was made by Tandem a few years back at JP Morgan. Back then Tandem was innovative for their iPhone like design and patient friendly user interface. The company noted back when the Medtronic pumps came online the state of art technology at the time were pagers, so it was no accident that their pumps looked like a pager. Today companies are moving quickly to transfer their user interface to the patient’s smartphone.
Yet one area that still needs to be addressed the next frontier of insulin pump design . . .
