Tandem Acquires Sigi™
This morning Tandem announced they would be acquiring AMF Medical makers of the Sigi™ patch pump. Before we get into an analysis of this deal and what it means for the insulin pump market a few points need to be addressed first.
1. The Sigi is NOT FDA approved although it does have FDA Breakthrough designation.
2. While the company did not provide a timeline for FDA approval, they did note they expect Sigi revenue in 2027.
3. The pre-filled insulin cartridge used with the Sigi is NOT yet available here in the US. The . . .
