Open Field Running
The best way to describe the earnings released by Insulet this afternoon is it’s good to be the king. With no true patch pump completely tubeless disposable competitor on the market Insulet is taking full advantage of having the field to themselves. This situation will not last forever but while it does Insulet is taking the ball and running with it. Frankly we expected the numbers to be good and we weren’t disappointed.
The numbers also show how bad things are at Medtronic who could not crack the 10% growth rate compared to over 21% growth for Insulet . . .
