Diabetic Investor has never understood why some companies feel compelled to make a big acquisition rather than fix the problems with the units they already own. Yes, we know that these acquisitions sometimes work out for the better but far too often they are made not necessarily for strategic reasons. They are done to distract investors from the very real underlying problems that exist within a company. Or as the old saying goes, better to look like you’re doing something than actually be doing something. Seriously we have never understood how a company that can’t run their existing . . .
