Misleading Results
When MiniMed separated from Medtronic there were many questions the biggest being could management now separated from the mothership turn things around. Looking at today’s results which came in better than anticipated so far so good. However it should be noted that the results were slightly misleading.
Thanks to favorable comps sales performance and new pump placements need to be viewed in that perspective. The good news is MiniMed will soon have one of the most comprehensive insulin delivery portfolios. The not so good news is competition is intensifying.
