Bra Size and Diabetes – No Joke Someone Actually Did a Study on this

It’s a well known fact that diabetes is a big problem, now it turns out that a woman’s bra size may be linked to diabetes. According to a study published in the January 29, 2008 issue of the Canadian Medical Association; “A larger bra cup size at age 20 may be a predictor of type 2 diabetes mellitus in middle-age woman. Whether this relation is independent of traditional indicators of obesity remains to be determined.”

The study goes on to state; “This finding illustrates that, whatever the approach to adjustment, there may be additional benefit to include breast size in the assessment of risk factors for type 2 diabetes.” Although neither the American Diabetes Association or the American Medical Association has issued any statements on this study, Diabetic Investor is curious if either organization would recommend changing protocol for examining women patients.

Diabetic Investor is equally curious if these same researchers plan any follow on studies or any studies that look for a similar predictor for men.

This research could make your next check-up very interesting, stay tuned.
