Another Casualty
Today is somewhat of a red-letter day in diabetes. First, we learn that the Biden Administration is proposing the weight loss drugs like Wegovy and Zepbound be covered by Medicare a move which would not just open the flood gates but create a major issue for private payers who model their coverage decision on what Medicare does. This is not yet 100% slam dunk as the new administration has to follow through, but the wheels have been put in motion.
Next, we are happy to hear that finally at long last Embecta who announced earnings this morning has terminated . . .
